Buying Diamonds Online
With all of the potential for scams concerning
diamonds, buying diamonds online almost
seems unthinkable! However, you actually
can purchase diamonds online, without any
problems – as long as you are careful.
First, think about your reasons for wanting to
purchase the diamond online, as opposed to
making a purchase from a local jewelry store.
The most common reason is price. Due to
low overhead costs, online jewelers and
wholesalers are able to offer lower prices.
However, you must be careful – sometimes
a price that is too low is a sure indication of
a scam.
One of the best things about purchasing
online is the unlimited selection. When
shopping offline, you are limited to the
selection in the stores in your general area.
Online, there are no limits. But again, you
must use a great deal of care and
consideration before handing your money
over to someone that you cannot see and
have never met!
Before shopping, learn as much as you can
about diamonds – especially cut, color,
clarity and carat weights. When you are
knowledgeable about diamonds, it will be
harder for a con artist to rip you off. Once
you know more about diamonds, you will be
ready to start shopping.
Take your time. Don’t purchase the first
diamond that you see that interests you.
Instead, look for similar diamonds for sale.
Do some comparison shopping to find the
lowest prices. Once you have found the
lowest price, start doing your investigation.
You know about diamonds, you’ve found a
diamond that you love, and you’ve found the
lowest price – but you are still quite a ways
away from actually purchasing that diamond!
Ask about the seller’s credentials, such as
professional jewelry associations that they
belong to. View and print the seller’s return,
refund, and upgrade policies. Also inquire
about additional services, such as settings
and mountings, sizing, and free shipping. Do
a search for customer reviews on this
particular company around the Internet. Also
check with the BBB Online to see if there have
been any complaints.
Ask for a diamond grading report from an
independent laboratory such as GIA, HRD,
EGL or AGS. You should see this before
making a purchase. Finally, use a reputable
escrow service for high dollar diamonds –
preferably one that will have the diamond
appraised while it is in their possession. The
seller sends the diamond to the escrow
service, and you send the money to pay for
the diamond to the escrow service. The
escrow service has the diamond appraised,
sends the diamond to you, and sends the
money to the seller. This is the surest way to
protect yourself…again, make sure that you
use a reputable escrow service!

Revolutionary “Red Wine” Cream
Rescues Dry, Over-Stressed
Skin and Restores a Sexy,
Younger-Looking Glow
Dear Martin,
Researchers recently discovered a surprising new benefit of red wine…
It contains a powerful ingredient that can help make your skin appear younger.
You may have heard of this ingredient. We’ve known for years that it supports your heart and may help you live longer.
And now ongoing research shows that this anti-aging nutrient, resveratrol, may also help you maintain younger-looking skin.
Resveratrol is very popular as a supplement. But if you’re one of the thousands who take it orally, you’re missing out on the distinct advantages it can offer your skin.
As you’ll soon see, when you apply this potent antioxidant directly to your skin, it quickly goes to work to reduce the appearance of aging from your body and face.
Firms, Lifts, and Preserves Skin
Dermatologists at the University of Wisconsin found that resveratrol helps protect the skin from sun damage.1 And in vivo studies demonstrate that topical resveratrol improves skin tone, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, and more.2

As these photos show, if you truly want younger-looking skin, resveratrol can make it happen.
But before your rush out to buy a resveratrol skin cream, let me tell you the same thing I tell my patients: Make sure you… Get a Form of Resveratrol That Does More Than
Your Typical Over-the-Counter Cream Imagine turning back the clock and having radiant skin.
If that’s what you want, you can’t just extract resveratrol from grapes or red wine, add it to a cream, and then expect your skin to start looking younger. The Scoop on Resveratrol
Just Keeps Getting Better and Better…
While resveratrol has recently been subjected to extensive research and experiments, it will take more time to confirm all of its exciting health benefits…
For example, scientists originally thought resveratrol was just good for the heart.
Then, a feature on 60 Minutes indicated that resveratrol may help increase life span and promote overall good health.
Today, it’s widely thought that resveratrol has a range of unique health properties. And thousands of people take it each day to help them live longer, healthier lives.
Now you can apply resveratrol to your skin to help reduce the visible signs of aging by giving it the real support it needs to remain smooth, firm, and radiant. If only it were that simple…
The problem is resveratrol has limited stability and water solubility. So converting it to a “usable” topical form that can actually help over-stressed skin can be a bit tricky.
But, after doing some research at our Wellness Research Foundation, I found a unique way around that. I discovered a novel process that not only makes topical resveratrol usable, but it makes its benefits more pronounced. In fact, this process even creates attributes that exceed the compound’s original benefits.2 It’s More than Cosmetic… It’s Advanced Nutrition for Your Skin
Until recently, skin care was restricted to mainly cosmetic applications such as topical creams rather than internal nutrition. But now, some skincare companies are catching on to something I’ve been saying for years:
The skin is a reflection of internal health and well-being.
And now one innovative company makes a form of resveratrol that goes beyond traditional cosmetic applications. It’s a nutritional regimen that can be used for anti-aging purposes.
It’s called “Metrabiotics™ Resveratrol” and it’s a unique topical nutrient that is obtained using a cutting-edge technology that ferments resveratrol with yeast.
First, the yeast uses resveratrol as a nutrient. Then, through the metabolic process, the yeast converts resveratrol into a more bioavailable form. Ultimately, this fusion of an antioxidant with a microorganism results in a synergistic extract that offers distinct advantages to skin cells.
In vivo and in vitro data have shown that Metrabiotics™ Resveratrol…3 Improves skin tone by promoting the production of collagen.
Reduces the appearance of wrinkles by improving the skin’s structural integrity.
Lifts the skin and smoothes the appearance of expression lines.
Increases hydration and improves overall appearance of the skin.
When you apply Metrabiotics™ Resveratrol, you should see an improvement in the appearance of wrinkles, a more even skin tone, and an improvement in the appearance of fine lines around your eyes within a month.
I was very impressed when I finished my in-depth my research on this nutrient. So when I created SILK, my own breakthrough anti-aging and moisturizing cream, I included Metrabiotics™ Resveratrol as the main nutrient. Look Younger… Without Surgery or Harmful Chemicals
These days you can look younger than your real age without surgery or harmful chemicals. And it’s all because of the latest research and development in skin nutrition and cosmetics.
SILK helps reverse the visible signs of aging by combining the best of Nature and technology. It doesn’t just zap the free radicals that attack your skin.* Clinical results show that it also increases hydration and promotes collagen synthesis.4
And to make SILK even more effective, I added 9 additional anti-aging ingredients. Each ingredient on its own nourishes and supports your skin. But when you add them all together, SILK offers jam-packed support in one convenient product.
Here are some of the other big-time players in SILK:
Nutrient Benefit
CoQ10 Maintains healthy cells*
Keeps older cells functioning more like younger cells*
Maintains younger-looking skin*
Alpha Lipoic Acid Makes skin appear younger*
DMAE Reduces appearance of wrinkles*
L-Carnitine Helps the skin maintain moisture*
Retinol Reduces the visible signs of aging*
Vitamin E Promotes healthy-looking skin*
Chamomile Promotes healthier looking skin*
Glycerin Improves the appearance of the skin*
Hyaluronic Acid Smoothes and softens the skin*
SILK doesn’t just affect your skin from the outside, filling in wrinkles and fine lines like makeup. It contains the ingredients you need to help your skin function and repair itself as it should. For instance, SILK doesn’t include collagen; it stimulates your body to make more collagen on its own. In other words, SILK helps your skin look younger, not by masking the signs of aging, but by giving your body the support it needs to nourish, preserve, and support your skin. SILK Is the All-In-One Cream That Moisturizes, Repairs, and Protects Your Skin
If you’re like my patients, you’re frustrated by trying to find a skincare product that works. The worst part is that often the most expensive anti-aging skincare products are the most ineffective. One of the reasons most creams, lotions, and moisturizers don’t work is that many companies churn out products without doing the proper research and development. They put traditional, but health-damaging, compounds, such as parabens, carcinogens, and gasoline distillates, in their skincare products and rush them out the door.
SILK is a completely natural blend of the most powerful skin nutrients. It works with your body to promote younger-looking skin rather than just cover it up. Extend Your Skin’s Youth Span for Years to Come Your skin is one of the first things people notice about you. Get this amazing anti-aging and moisturizing breakthrough right away and significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and loose, baggy skin.*
As always, you risk nothing when you order SILK. You can always get your money back (including your shipping and handling) if you don’t get the results you hope for or if you change your mind for any reason.

What's Hiding In Your Shampoo
Dear Martin,
Years ago, I discovered that certain shampoos were pretty much guaranteed to give me consistent “bad hair days.” My hair would either be dry and frizzy or limp and unmanageable
Back then, I thought it was just my hair type.
Today, I know better. Turns out almost all commercial shampoos and conditioners are full of chemicals that will destroy the health of your scalp and hair
I have patients who are shocked when I tell them about it. Here they are, buying the most expensive designer hair products, yet their hair is dry, thinning, and losing its luster.
Who Says Working Moms Can’t Have It All?
My patients often ask me how I’m able to juggle my career, raise a family, and maintain a wonderful marriage year after year.
And even find time to work on my first book.
I tell them it’s not always easy. But it’s something I have total control over.
You simply need to have the right attitude, make smart choices, and develop positive relationships.
But just look at what I find in these shampoos…
Sodium laurel sulfate
makes your shampoo foam up. But it’s so damaging, scientists use it to irritate skin so they can discover how to heal it. It corrodes hair follicles so badly it can make your hair fall out and not grow back.
Diethanolamine DEA and Cocamide DEA are also chemicals that help shampoo lather up. They can make your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse, while sitting on the store shelves… or your bathroom counter… they react with other ingredients to form a potent cancer-causing chemical that gets absorbed right through your skin.
Parabens, like methylparaben and propylparaben,
act as preservatives. Parabens not only irritate the skin – which can make your scalp unhealthy – they can also affect your hormonal balance.
Formaldehyde,
found in some shampoo products, is bad news! Excessive exposure can lead to hair loss. It’s cancerous, can cause headaches and respiratory problems… and can even damage your DNA.
Alcohol.
Don’t ask me why anyone would put alcohol in shampoo. It will dry your hair out and irritate your scalp. Always avoid hair care products that contain alcohol.
There are a whole lot more ingredients in shampoo that aren’t good for you or your hair, but these are five of the biggest offenders.
So, if you love having thick, shiny, and lustrous hair, start reading ingredients and selecting the most natural products you can find. Bypass anything that contains the chemicals listed above. And do your homework! If you can’t pronounce an ingredient, look it up on the internet. Chances are good anything that sounds “scientific” or can’t be pronounced is bad for your hair.
Here are a few more tips to keep in mind while searching for the perfect natural shampoo that’s right for you…
1. If you have dry or damaged hair, look for shampoos that contain these truly natural moisturizers: shea butter, coconut oil, or avocado oil. They’ll not only seal in moisture; they’ll also add shine and keep your hair hydrated throughout the day.
2. For oily hair, lemon and other citrus ingredients can naturally remove that “grimy” feel and leave your hair feeling soft and bouncy. Green tea can also have a clarifying effect.
3. To get rid of dandruff, try products with tea tree oil, eucalyptus or aloe vera. They’ll help revitalize, cleanse, and heal your scalp.

5 Anti-Ageing Myth Busted!
By iDiva Trendspotter 21 Jul 10
THE TIMES OF INDIA
So you think wrinkles can never happen to you, right? But the fact is that skin ages as they get older whether you like it or not and one fine day those crow's feet and saggy skin will start to show. Yes, even if you have oily skin!
But don't freak just yet. You can prevent the signs of ageing if you follow the right skin care at the right time. We bust a couple of old wives' tales and facts from myths. Take a look.
Myth #1: My skin will age just like my mother's.
When your mother was in her twenties, the climate wasn't so erratic and pollution did not threaten the environment. Perhaps the stress levels were lower and fast-food wasn't the regular diet. There weren't as many smokers around too!
Genetics do have a role in the ageing process but lifestyle too affects the health of your skin. A bad lifestyle could cause you to age faster. As prevention is always better than cure, it is better to take care of your skin before wrinkles appear.
Lead a healthy lifestyle and educate yourself about anti-ageing products like the Pond's Age Miracle range. With years of research, Pond's has launched anti-ageing beauty products that promise younger-looking skin in just seven days.
Dr Rashmi Shetty, a Leading Cosmetic Physician and Pond's Beauty Council Member, explains, "Your skin will pretty much age like your mother's. However, those days, times and lifestyles were different. Due to the increase in pollution and change in lifestyle, your skin needs extra care today. You need to get rid of the accumulated grime and dead skin cells with a good cleanser like Pond's Age Miracle Daily Regenerating Facial Foam. It has micro granules that deeply clean your skin to reveal a fresher you. Along with this, use a good sunscreen."
Myth #2: I will apply anti-ageing cream ONLY after turning 30.
Most women in their twenties believe that wrinkles can't happen to them when they are so young and raring to go. So, anti-ageing creams do not exist in their beauty book. But you must look out for fine lines that they tend to appear in your twenties, which will eventually cause wrinkles.
Dr. Shetty reveals, "Ageing starts as at early as 25. You need to protect your skin from the sun as early as possible. Use Pond's Age Miracle's Resurfacing Day Cream with SPF 15PA++ to protect your skin from sun exposure during the day. If you have dry skin, use the Pond's Age Miracle Concentrated Serum at night. But if your skin is very dry with irritation, try the Pond's Age Miracle treatment mask."
You are aware that SPF refers to sun protection factor but if you are wondering about what PA++ is, it is a ranking that refers to how much sun protection a beauty product offers from UVA rays. The more '+s' a beauty product has, the better the ranking
Myth #3: I have oily skin; therefore I don't need an anti-ageing cream.
Dr Shetty refutes this. "Of course you need an anti-ageing cream! Just because your skin is oily doesn't mean it doesn't respond to environmental factors like sun exposure and pollution."
If you have oily skin and fear anti-ageing creams might cause break-outs, try the water-based Pond's Age Miracle Concentrated Serum. It is clinically proven to repair skin in seven days significantly reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
And, since the serum is water-based, it is good for oily skin too because it moisturises without making your skin greasy.
Dr Shetty further explains, "The Pond's Serum is a fantastic new product added to the Age Miracle range. It is the ideal skin care product for all ages as the key ingredient Retinol A is a proven anti-ageing molecule. It works great on acne prone and oily, sticky skin in this season. Special Retinol boosters are used which keep the Retinol A active for a prolonged time so that it is used in the right concentration without irritating the skin. AHA gives instant lightening and brightening to the skin and maintains the hydration. All of us can do with a little boost to our collagen which helps our skin look tight and youthful. The CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) complex in the serum helps achieve this."
You get all these magic portions in serum form! So there's no need for sticky creams. What more could you ask for!
Myth #4: I work out and eat well; therefore I don't need an anti-ageing cream.
You believe that since you take care of your diet and fitness your skin will glow and stay youthful forever. Dr Shetty says, "That's true but you need to protect your skin and use anti-ageing products. These products increase the skin cell turnover on the surface of the skin, increase new collagen production that keeps your skin firm, protect your skin from sun exposure, and replenish lost moisture."
To further add to the glow and health of your skin, try the Pond's Age Miracle Microdermabrasion Kit. It gently re-surfaces or 'polishes' the surface of the skin to minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. With special micro crystals it leaves you with renewed and brightened skin.
Along with this you need to keep stress at bay and stay happy!
Myth #5: Expensive anti-ageing creams are more effective.
Says who? Price doesn't necessarily guarantee quality. Dr Shetty shares, "Whatever anti-ageing product you want to buy, keep in mind the credibility of the company and the contents of that product.
